NOT IMPRESSED

The first lawyer we visited told us all about the Los Angeles bankruptcy laws. We were not impressed with him, though. He seemed too distracted. And his reception area had probably forty people in it. We waited nearly two hours to see him, and then it was only for a few minutes. We were not impressed. He didn’t ask us anything about the business, and seemed to be just spitting back some rehearsed things to us. I was upset that we spent so much time on this lawyer, when I should have been working on getting new accounts for the business. In a day I had to leave for the United States Virgin Islands, in order to visit with one of our best sales people, who might have some sources lined up to use our excess equipment. This was an extreme priority. I had to be able to tell the banks that we would be able to ramp up for business, in order to give them the confidence that we would make good on our loans. We were in very real danger of having one or the other bank call our note, and that would send the business in bankruptcy. Personally, that was another story, and that is why were were visiting the attorney. I voted this one down. There was no way I wanted anything to do with him.
